Pick 24mm birch plywood for worktops and benches, strong shelving, subfloors and platforms, van racking, stair and step components, heavy-duty carcasses, and other interior applications where strength and a smart finish are essential. For exterior or high-moisture areas, specify an exterior/MR grade and seal all faces and edges.
Cut with sharp, fine-tooth blades or CNC for clean edges. Pre-sand lightly and remove dust before finishing. Fix with quality wood screws or adhesives into suitable framing. Seal cut edges and any concealed faces where moisture might be present. Follow current guidance for ventilation, finish compatibility and load paths.
